SEASON 1 - EPISODE 1
When you think of Texas Oil, its hard not to think of Beaumont Texas. Our journey to Beaumont had us drilling for the best of the best as well, so we started it off at a bed and breakfast known for catering to writers… the Book Nook! After breakfast we headed out to a refinery of sorts… the TexJoy Spice factory! There we met with the Fertita Family and saw the hands on love they and their workers put into every jar. From there we went to eat some of the best Pizza in town at Crown Pizza before heading off to meet the guys from Gator 911 at their gator refuge. Finally, we closed out the night at a hip little Jazz & Blues bar that once played host to such legendary musicians as Janice Joplin and The Big Bopper!

CLEAR LAKE, TX
Clear Lake has a lot of recent Texas History, such as being a staging ground for many of our pilots during WWII as well as the spot where man received the first signals from the moon. “Houston, there are no problems with finding adventure in Clear Lake.” Here we found the best Kolache I’ve ever eaten made by three Mexican brothers who never gave up following their American dream. Next we were off to see the The Wings Over Houston Airshow, where we met and interviewed several legends and heroes of WWII. Then we were off toe Tooky’s Burgers for the best burger in town, before closing the night out at Dinner Theatre known for Murder, Mystery and Chocolate.

NEW BRAUNFELS, TX
If you made me quickly pick one of my favorite towns in Texas, I’d have to say New Braunfels. I love Texas period… all of it. However, New Braunfels takes a big slice of cake for me. In New Braunfels we stayed in the coolest little private cabins and started our day with Strudel at the oldest bakery in Texas. We visited a privately owned zoo that houses the biggest collection of rattle snakes in the world. Next, we headed to Natural Bridge Caverns and Comal Springs before sharing a private dinner with the owner of Alpine Haus German Restaurant. Killer time!
SEASON 1 - EPISODE 4
Texas’s Gold Medal for High Society is held by Dallas. So we didn’t bore you with any of it. We started the day with a hardy breakfast at a Truck Stop located on the shady side of town, and experienced some of the best soul food in the city. Then we were off to set a Guinness World Record for the most amount of sandwiches made at one time that all went to feed Dallas’s homeless. Then we met up with a tattoo artist buddy of mine who showed us some spectacular ink, as well as where to find the best hot dogs in Dallas.

THE TEXAS RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL, TX
Just so y’all understand the free willing eclectic nature of the Texas mentality we spent all day hanging out where the wild things are… The Texas Ren Fest! We got to experience much of the food offered, a hodge podge of European Cuisine, tried on some fancy duds, watched a joust fight and got hammered and sang sea shanties with a bunch of pirates!

FORT WORTH, TX
Fort Worth was one of the coolest places we got to visit. Hailed as the most beautiful downtown in all of America, Fort Worth was no shortage of good old Texas hospitality. We started our day at The Ole South Pancake House, before heading off to see the Longhorn Cattle drive down off Main St. Then we hung out with a low rider gang as they raised money and took donations for the less fortunate in their neighborhoods, before we were off to the races at Texas Motor Speedway where we got to meet driver Ryan Sieg and XGames Champion and Sunglass Designer Eddie Bauer Jr. Finally, we closed the night off at a 4 star 4 story restaurant overlooking the beautiful Fort Worth night sky and skyline.
SEASON 1 - EPISODE 7
What better way to start the series than in the town that started Texas… Galveston. In Galveston we ate at a great little breakfast diner, made saltwater taffy at the strands oldest candy factory, ate lunch at a place known for shrimp and stuff, went fishing and then drank to our hearts content at two little beer joints – one serving up the best burger in town. Galveston was a splash!

SAN ANTONIO, TX
San Antonio is a must for anyone wanting to experience the heart of Texas. Here we began our day at Bakery Lorraine, a fantastic Breakfast and Brunch spot in the Pearl District. From there we went to A Place to Shoot and got a lesson in how to shoot from the hip and true Texas gun slinging. Afterwards we headed back into town to Market Square for some TexMex made by the family that founded the genre at Mi Tierra. We then burnt off some steam at a park designed to cater to the specific requirement of the special needs community, and closed off the night at an all you can eat Brazilian Steak House.
SEASON 1 - EPISODE 9
COLLEGE STATION, TX
College Station, home of Texas A&M, Is not only known for a great degree… its also the birthplace of some fantastic grub and some unusual sites. We start our day like many students at the best breakfast taco place in town, then off to a wild life preserve were we get to see some of the most unusual African wildlife, then off for the best burgers at Grub! We take a lesson at a Trapeze School and then close the night at a Winter Wonderland put together with a little Texas flair!
SEASON 1 - EPISODE 10
Conroe was a lot of fun! We went for breakfast at a place that makes great waffles and the owner told us about coming to America. Then we checked out a Wolf Sanctuary, went fishing, screamed across the lake on a scarab, hung out drinking with some Conroe natives, and then went by and filled up on sushi. It was off the hook!
SEASON 1 - EPISODE 11
Austin is none best for being not only the State Capitol of Texas, but the Music Capitol as well. So this episode we eat breakfast at “Biscuits and Groovy,” had coffee with Singer Songwriter Kinky Friedman at his ranch right up the road, ate lunch at “Threadgills” the legendary restaurant that is known for being at the center of the Austin Music scene, and then just to mix it up a bit…. we end the night at the best Indian Restaurant in town.
SEASON 1 - EPISODE 12
Of course, we had to do my current hometown in the first season, so we took a journey through time with a breakfast place named after an ancient Slavik villain, and had lunch at a few awesome Houston food trucks before visiting the oldest microbrewery in Houston. After that, we cruised around the city with the owner of a very unique car company, and closed out the night at the only 5 diamond rated restaurant in the state of Texas.
